Heartside Gleaning Initiative is constantly engaged with the community of Grand Rapids.

Since 2014, Lisa Sisson and other board members have presented at numerous forums and been featured in a diverse array of media outlets. In addition, publications have featured the food access issues within the Heartside community. Lastly, food waste, food recovery and other topics emphasizing the link between access to healthy food and other health concerns have become an area of study worldwide. Resources regarding community conversations and academic findings can be found on this website.

Please use the links below to access media material presentations highlighting Heartside Gleaning's efforts to bring accessible, healthy produce to local residents and other resources about food insecurity, waste and health and wellness.
